I wondered if it represented Elise’s sacrifice of Goldia. but especially conflict between women fighting for dominance. The paintings are full of relevant themes - purity, sacrifice, numbness, madness, death, etc. I was puzzled by Annaliese’s room, it seemed disconnected from the rest. Which is why after we place the mirrors on the floor, the creature says “we meet again”.
